Purbeck Stone is a natural limestone that is extremely
durable and hard-wearing and well suited tomemorial work.
Effigies, ledger stones and headstones have been worked in Purbeck
for centuries and our southern cathedrals and churchyards bear
testimony to this heritage from mediaeval times to the present
day.
The
memorial trade forms a considerable part of our work using the
Thornback, Grub and Freestone and Blue Feather beds of stone. We supply to individuals
as well as to the trade. |

Anyone wishing to come and discuss a memorial design will find photographs
and line drawings available. We will also advise on the correct procedure
when dealing with the ecclesiastical authorities. Inscriptions can be machine-
or hand-cut.
