Most of the fossils we find during the course of quarrying are small fish teeth, pieces of crocodile scoot, bits of turtle shell and so on. We rarely come across fossilised dinosaur bones.

The occasional ammonite (Titanites) and dinosaur footprint is found whilst quarrying. The footprints are usually retained in the form of a raised 'cast', where the print itself is in clay. The layer above has filled in the print and fossilised to give us the cast.
